The National Cub Scouting Character Connections Program was introduced in 2002. The key elements of the program were 12 core values, Citizenship, Compassion, Cooperation, Courage, Faith, Health and Fitness, Honesty, Perseverance, Positive Attitude, Resourcefulness, Respect, and Responsibility. With the 2015 changes to the Cub Scout program, volunteer Dr. Nisha Zoeller put together a new nonofficial Cub Scout Connections for small dens.
|| The purpose of this guide is to show the connections and common themes among Cub Scout Adventures across ranks to encourage the continuation of pack-level and multi-age programming as well as assist in the planning of events such as camping/outdoor programs and belt loop events. The adventures themselves are meant to be inter-disciplinary, touching upon a variety of themes and experiences within a single adventure.
