This fsm (flying spaghetti monster) image is not appropriate on this site. Perhaps intended as a prank on MeritBadgeDotOrg; but fsm and "Pastafarianism" was created to ridicule those who believe in and have a duty to God. This site does not need to perpetuate a publicity stunt created by a few angry atheists intending to mock and denigrate the beliefs of others. See Wikipedia article

This violates the ideals of Scouts and Scouters duty to God; being friendly, courteous, kind and reverent; honoring the dignity and worth of all persons; seeking truth and fairness; and as stated in the Venturing Code:

"I believe that America's strength lies in our trust in God and in the courage, strength, and traditions of our people.
I will, therefore, be faithful in my religious duties and will maintain a personal sense of honor in my own life.
I will treasure my American heritage and will do all I can to preserve and enrich it.
I will recognize the dignity and worth of all humanity and will use fair play and goodwill in my daily life."

I agree with you. I'm sure the person thought it was funny, but it is disparaging and doesn't belong here. EagleForumFan 18:26, December 16, 2007 (EST)
