A Sea Scout Crew is a youth member sub-group of a Sea Scout ship. A crew is lead by a Crew Leader. The size of crew is to be no larger than six youth members. New crews are established or disbanded as needed at the discretion of the Skipper.
Similar Groups
A Sea Scout Crew is a grouping of youth within a unit. Similar groups in other Scouting units are:
- A Cub Scout Den elects a Denner who assists the Den Leader. Unlike a Boy Scout patrol, which is boy-led, the Den Leader plans and conducts meetings and activities.
- Patrol - Boy Scouting
- Squad - Varsity Scouting
- Crew - Sea Scouting
