Usage

A wikitable cannot be placed within a numbered list without breaking the automatic numbering of that list, but an HTML table can be, as long as there are no line breaks within it. This template was created to do just that, to increase readability in the Cub Scout NOVA awards.

Implicit parameters

This template has no implicit parameters.

Explicit parameter

The belt loop template has several explicit parameters.

Section removal parameter

If included as an empty parameter, this will remove the header row. nonCub If included as an empty parameter, this will remove the Webelos column.

  • webelos

Row removal parameters

If included as an empty parameter, these will remove that particular row -- see the example where "|6=" is included in the calling code and thus row 6 is not displayed.

These parameters are mutually exclusive and the Cub Scout parameters have priority. For instance, if both scout1 and wolf1 are included, only wolf1 will be displayed.

Wolf adventures parameters

If included, these will display an adventure in the Wolf column.

  • wolf1
  • wolf2
  • wolf3
  • wolf4
  • wolf5
  • wolf6

Bear adventures parameters

If included, these will display an adventure in the Bear column.

  • bear1
  • bear2
  • bear3
  • bear4
  • bear5
  • bear6

Webelos adventures parameters

If included, these will display an adventure in the Webelos column.

  • webelos1

  • webelos5
  • webelos6

Scout parameters

  • scout1
  • scout2
  • scout3

  • scout11
  • scout12

Example

This is the preferred method of adding the parameters, for readability.
{{NOVA Table
|wolf1=Adventures in Coins
|wolf2=Collections and Hobbies
|wolf3=Digging in the Past
|wolf4=Germs Alive
|wolf5=Grow Something
|bear1=A Bear Goes Fishing
|bear2=Bear Picnic
|bear3=Critter Care
|webelos1=Camper
|webelos2=Earth Rocks
|webelos3=Maestro
|6=
}}</nowiki> creates the following:

Wolf Cub ScoutsBear Cub ScoutsWebelos Scout
Adventures in CoinsA Bear Goes FishingCamper
Collections and HobbiesBear PicnicEarth Rocks
Digging in the PastCritter CareMaestro
Germs Alive
Grow Something

This example demonstrates that each parameter doesn't have to be on its own line, for brevity, if desired.
{{NOVA Table |wolf1=Adventures in Coins |wolf2=Collections and Hobbies |wolf3=Digging in the Past |wolf4=Germs Alive |wolf5=Grow Something |bear1=A Bear Goes Fishing |bear2=Bear Picnic |bear3=Critter Care |webelos1=Camper |webelos2=Earth Rocks |webelos3=Maestro |6= }} creates the following:

An example of using row parameters to leave rows off, and also the webelos parameter to leave off the Webelos section.
