A Scouting Sub-group Equivalents is a grouping of youth within a unit. Similar groups in other Scouting units are:

• A Cub Scout Den elects a Denner who assists the Den Leader. Unlike a Boy Scout patrol, which is boy-led, the Den Leader plans and conducts meetings and activities.
• Patrol - Boy Scouting
• Squad - Varsity Scouting
• Crew - Sea Scouting
