Usage
The Workpage template is a maintenance template for use on pages that are under construction, primarily by administrators (sysops).
- Unlike the Expand template, which would work well on Scouting-related articles,
- the workpage template is better suited for wiki use or site guidance pages that we are building.
The idea is, once a workpage becomes clean enough for a beauracrat's approval, the workpage template can be removed. Bearing this distinction in mind, registered users are certainly free to edit workpages.
Notes
- Where ever this template is placed, you can click on the workpage reference to view a self-updating list (category pages do that) of pages that currently have this template in use on them.
- Also within this template, the reference to the "talk page" actually points to the specific talk page relative to where the template is invoked.
- Articles tagged with this template are automatically added to Category:Workpages.
