The Chief Scout Executive is the top-ranking professional Scouter of the Boy Scouts of America. This is the only professional title routinely capitalized.

The Chief Scout Executive is responsible for providing staff leadership and direction to more than 3,500 Scouting professionals in the National Council and local councils throughout the 50 states, its territories, protectorates, and the U.S. citizens around the world.
