The Chief Scout Executive is the top-ranking professional Scouter of the Boy Scouts of America. This is the only professional title routinely capitalized.

The Chief Scout Executive is responsible for providing staff leadership and direction to more than 3,500 Scouting professionals in the National Council and local councils throughout the 50 states, its territories, protectorates, and the U.S. citizens around the world.

On September 1, Robert "Bob" Mazzuca became the Boy Scouts of America's Chief Scout Executive. Mazzuca, an Eagle Scout who has served in progressively more responsible positions with the BSA for 36 years, provides general direction of administrative work of the BSA. He replaced Roy Williams, who announced his retirement after seven years as Chief Scout Executive.
