A Venturing Crew is the standard group for Venturers and is supported by an adult crew committee.

Youth members
The crew's youth are lead by the President and the crew officers.
Equivalents
The troop is a registered "unit" with its local council. Other basic units are:
- Pack - Cub Scouting
- Troop - Boy Scouting
- Team - Varsity Scouting
- Ship - Sea Scouting
- Post - Explorers
- Group - Learning for Life
