Requirement 6 shown below is included in the listing in the current Forestry merit badge pamphlet, but was omitted from the listing in the 2016 Boy Scout Requirements booklet. It was included in the 2017 Boy Scout Requirements booklet.
Forestry is one of the elective merit badges for the William T. Hornaday awards for Boy Scouts.
The Forestry merit badge was one of the original 57 merit badges issued by the Boy Scouts of America in 1911.
