The Master-at-Arms badge was one of the original 14 "Badges of Merit" issued by the Boy Scouts of America in 1910 in the temporary "Original edition" of the BSA Handbook. It was not included in the 1911 edition of the Boy Scout handbook.

  1. Master 3 of the following combat skills:
    • single stick,
    • boxing,
    • ju jitsu,
    • wrestling,
    • quarterstaff, and
    • fencing.
