The purpose of this WikiProject is to standardize articles pertaining to Requirements and Advancement, keep them up to date, and provide cross-linking between related requirements. Templates that are used to cite a book source as a reference are also part of this WikiProject.

Categorization

Articles from this project are categorized automatically through the use of a template. Any manual categorization should be based on a topic covered by the article.

Tasks

  • Create or identify "Ideal examples" of each article type to which other articles of that type should be standardized:
    • Cub Scout Citizen Belt Loop and Pin article with full See also, links to other awards, etc.
    • Wolf Cub Scout - example of a Cub Scout Rank article with full See also, links to other awards, etc.
    • Eagle Scout Rank - Example of a Boy Scout Rank article with full See also, links to other awards, etc.
    • Camping - Example of a Merit Badge article with full See also, links to other awards, etc.
    • Outdoorsman - Example of a Webelos Activity Badge article with full See also, links to other awards, etc.
    • Other awards
  • Interconnect these articles with cross-links so that a leader/scout/parent can identify related requirements to facilitate efficient program planning and earning of awards. For example, showing a collection for the Tiger Elective can easily cover the Collections Belt Loop if you just know in advance that only a little more work is needed.

Sample articles and outlines

The following articles are to be considered samples for each award type. Click on "outline" to go to the subpage which contains an outline and layout for each type.
