We have been instructed that the official "signing" and "American Sign Language" strips have been retired with no plans to recreate.

The Interpreter Strip can be earned in one of the following languages....

BSA does NOT specify anywhere that these are the only languages available for earning the Interpreter Strip. While they may be the only ones the BSA Supply Division currently has available, you can still earn the Interpreter Strip award for any language (other than English), as well as American Sign Language (ASL), Morse Code and Signing. —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 15:43, August 30, 2009 (EDT)
