Requirement 3c

Requirement 3c the 3rd sentence is incorrect per Scouting.org web site. It should read "Tell how it reproduces, what it eats, and its natural habitat." and not "Tell how it reproduces, what it eats, what eats it, and its natural habitat." Kc9901mom 11:17, February 7, 2012 (EST)

Except for known typographical errors or omissions:

• When there is a conflict between two "published" (i.e., in writing) lists of requirements, such as the (2012) Boy Scout Requirements and a merit badge pamphlet, or the Boy Scout Handbook, then the current edition of Boy Scout Requirements book should be considered to be the controlling document until a newer edition of Boy Scout Requirements is issued.

• In such cases where a new merit badge is released and, thus not shown in the Boy Scout Requirements, then the merit badge pamphlet takes precedence, by default... until it becomes listed in the next edition of Boy Scout Requirements, which then, as above takes precedence.

• The merit badge requirements shown on Scouting.org are for information purposes only; and, should –never– be considered official.
