Any info regarding Robotics Merit Badge

I signed up to be a merit badge counselor for the Robotics merit badge. I'm hoping to get as much preliminary info as possible to better understand the requirements before it's official release. Any assistance would be appreciated. --Jreid 12:05, February 18, 2011 (EST)

Robitics Merit Badge

I also am eagerly seeking advance information regarding the Robotics MB. I am hoping to get my scouts to get started on this during the Month of May just before Summer Camp. I need to understand the requirement so we can begin to search for a BSA counselor to conduct the MB. --Bestsoilman

OH BOY HAVE I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!! ROBOTICssssss

SO I am the CTO for Spacejamboree.com and we have the Robotics Merit Badge on the schedule for Space Jam 5, August 5-7th 2011 at SJ-5 in Rantoul IL, we rent out the whole Rantoul Airport and the Chanute Aerospace Museum, talk with Astronauts on the ISS, and so much more...

Any how, Menard's had a sell on 18V drill/drivers and TV IR remotes, so I bought 24/12, now I have power, motor, transmission, recharger, MosFet, and more... the TV IR remote makes for a great controller...

We even have a network of 20 workstations (Ubunto) and a couple servers at Space Jam... so each of the Scouts will have their own workstation for programming...

Now all we need to do is make sure we are on track with the requirements!@!@! Great Scott Batman... am I antsy to get this Merit Badge out...

I am thinking you need Electronic, Metalworking, Computers, and maybe Radio under your belt... then again, I am all for a Submersible Robotics, perhaps Scuba Diving MB too... BRING IT ON>>>>
