Function

{{Template:Expand}} lets you quickly label an article as one needing to be expanded.

{{Template:Expand|width|leftmargin}} is the format for the optional variables 1 and 2. The default values are width = 80% and leftmargin=10%. Expand also adds the article to Category:Articles that need to be expanded. Articles tagged with this template are automatically added to Category:Articles that need to be expanded.

Examples

If you use {{Template:Expand}} without any parameters

{{Template:Expand}}

which gives:

Please help improve this article by expanding it. Further information might be found on the talk page.

To automatically set the width to the minimum width needed

{{Template:Expand|auto}}

which gives:

Please help improve this article by expanding it. Further information might be found on the talk page.

To change the left margin to 5% and use auto width

{{Template:Expand|auto|5%}}

which gives:

One last example of left margin of 30px and width of 60%

{{Template:Expand|60%|30px}}

which gives:

Notes

Articles tagged with this template are automatically added to Category:Articles that need to be expanded.
