Comment regarding "Badges of Honour" heading on Main Page
First, thank you to all who work to make this information available.
My comment is in reference to the green-shaded area at the top of the top about Badges of Honor.
The title should cite this as a historical reference. It should be clear these badges are no longer given, without having to click the "more info" link. Why is this at the top of the page anyway? It seems like more of a sidebar. --Scoutermom
Why is the information about Badges of Honor at the top of the page? I suggest it be removed. I commented on this earlier but no one responded. This information is misleading, because it describes badges that are not given. I suggest historical references such as this are better included on a page which is about the history of scouting, not a page that people use to get up-to-date information about scouting. Thank you for all the work that has gone into Meritbadge.org in general. --Scoutermom, 23:18, February 14 2008
- I've read your comments and will discuss your perspective on the header issue with a sysop (or two). And, by the way, thanks for your input. I didn't intentionally ignore your first note; but, I admit, it just didn't make a big blip on the radar -- compared to all the other stuff we've all (editors) have been working on behind the scenes to the wiki up to par. Thanks, again. —RWSmith (Bureaucrat), 04:15, February 15, 2008 (EST)
