I have been in Scouting most of my 57 years. Mom was a Den Mother and Dad took over the Troop just before I had my Eagle BOR in 1963. I paid for college by working the water front at summer camp and while there met my future wife. She also comes from a Scouting family. Being a high school band director did not give me a lot of time for Scouts but I did get back involved in Cub Scouts when my son was ready and it has been constant since. Serving on 3 Jamboree Rappel Staffs, 3 Wood Badge Courses one Powder Horn Course, Natonal Camp School. I spent three years as the Lodge Adviser for Wagion #6 OA. Now retired, I have more time to keep busy with Scouting and, of course, family. I said my wife was from a Scouting family... 4 Eagles, 3 Silver Awards GSUSA. My son became an Eagle 30 years after me and we are both Vigil Honor In the OA. When my son was pulled for Vigil he was sashed with My fathers Vigil Sash.On the weekend, I teach Climbing and Rappelling at Laurel Caverns. My Daughter is a Silver Award (GSUSA) and has been a Crew ADV for 3 years. '''Free Time? ''Whats That?'''''

About me
