NAYLE a special experience. Youth will live in a patrol setting and use their leadership skills to resolve exciting and challenging situations.
NAYLE equips youth leaders to be better unit leaders, NYLT staff members, and/or superior camp staff members. It will help guide their journey to become true servant leaders, able to develop the members of any team they lead. NAYLE provides life skills for now and the future.

NAYLE Locations
Philmont NAYLE
Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico, NAYLE at Philmont Scout Ranch offers participants an unforgettable back-country experience where they use their NAYLE leadership skills to resolve exciting and challenging issues. Participants are introduced to and have an opportunity to build upon the legacy of Waite Phillips, the benefactor of Philmont Scout Ranch.
Sea Base NAYLE
Offered in the spring in the beautiful Florida Keys, NAYLE at the Florida Sea Base enables participants to sail on a boat and practice their NYLT skills via water-based activities. Participants learn the history of the Florida Sea Base and hear all about how Sam Wampler, Camping director for the South Florida Council, had a vision that took the Sea Base from a small venue that organized a few sailing trips in the ’70s to what it is today.
Northern Tier NAYLE
NAYLE participants at Northern Tier, BSA’s oldest high-adventure base, attend in the summer while paddling canoes in the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota.
Summit Bechtel Reserve NAYLE
The Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia offers participants an experience at the newest high-adventure base of the Boy Scouts of America. Participants will use their NYLT leadership skills to resolve exciting and challenging issues.
